  • Invictus Half-Term Round Up

What an incredible half-term it has been!

As we come to the end of another busy and successful half-term, we're taking a moment to reflect on just a few of the fantastic opportunities, achievements and experiences that have made the past few weeks so memorable. From inspiring trips and student successes to conferences, community events and charitable fundraising, there has been something for everyone to celebrate.

This term has seen many students and staff rewarded for their hard work, commitment and attendance. From reward trips to sporting successes, we've celebrated determination, resilience and excellence both inside and outside the classroom. Congratulations to everyone who has achieved personal milestones and represented their school with pride.

Our students have enjoyed an outstanding range of educational visits, both in the UK and overseas. Highlights have included memorable trips to Barcelona, Normandy and Valencia, as well as New York, giving students the opportunity to immerse themselves in different cultures, languages and histories. Twelve of our year 10 students also attended the Eton Summer School, experiencing life at one of the country's most prestigious educational institutions.

We have also been privileged to welcome a number of inspiring guest speakers. Students at Ellowes took part in a thought-provoking Pride Panel, while Pedmore welcomed Manny Singh Kang, whose powerful experiences and insights encouraged meaningful discussion and reflection.

Beyond the classroom, our staff have continued to embody our values of community and service. Colleagues from Wombourne took part in a charity hike, raising funds for a worthwhile cause while demonstrating incredible team spirit. We were also delighted to be part of the Pedmore Community Festival, strengthening our connections with the local community and celebrating all that makes our schools special.

It has also been a significant half-term for collaboration and leadership across the Trust. We were proud to host our Annual Conference, bringing colleagues together to share best practice, celebrate achievements and look ahead to the future. Alongside this, we welcomed  trust members, trustees, associate governors and leaders from across the Trust to our first Governance Conference, providing an opportunity to strengthen partnerships and continue our collective commitment to delivering the very best for our students.

We would like to thank our students, staff, and communities for their continued support, enthusiasm and dedication. Together, we have accomplished so much this half term, and we are excited to build on these successes in the new academic year.

We wish everyone a safe, restful and enjoyable summer break and look forward to welcoming you back after the holidays.

     Here's to more excellence everyday!
