Mrs E Morgan
Director of Invictus Sixth Form
My Career
After gaining my Physical Education PGCE at West Midlands Consortium, I began my teaching career at Cheslyn Hay Academy as an NQT. After 18 months I was appointed as the SSCO within the PE Department and worked across all the feeder primary schools, organising inter/intra school competitions. After a further 2 years I started my pastoral journey when appointed as assistant Head of Year 8. Having had success and thoroughly enjoying the role I was appointed Head of Year for Years 10 and 11. This experience allowed me to develop my skills within both student pastoral support and academic intervention. Following on from my experiences of Key stage 4 I took the opportunity to apply for the Director of Sixth Form role at Cheslyn Hay Academy and was successfully appointed. Over 3 years I improved all Sixth Form outcomes and in 2019 I was appointed as Director of Aspire Sixth, I was tasked with forming a new Sixth Form and I launched Aspire Sixth ion 2019 which brought together both Cheslyn Hay and Great Wyrley Academy to create a multi academy sixth form.
My Qualifications:

About Me
I was born in Stourbridge but moved to Shropshire when I was very young. I grew up just outside Shifnal, went to school in Shifnal and Wellington and then attended University of Wales Institute Cardiff where I studied Sports science (BSc Hons). I now live in Telford with my husband of eleven years and our two young children, Evelyn and William. Family time is my number one priority outside of work but other than that I enjoy gardening, running, socialising and watching films.
My passion is Sixth Form, I immensely enjoy working with students from a variety of backgrounds supporting them to achieve the highest academic standards ensuring they are known well as individuals and that their personality, talents, skills and interests are developed and encouraged. It is my belief that all students should be encouraged to open their minds to the endless career possibilities and for me to support them both academically and pastorally in achieving those ambitions.
