Dr A Adams

Co-Vice Chair of Trust Board

Dr Angela Adams, appointed by the members as a Trustee on 18/02/2022; current term of office ends 17/02/2026

Dr Angela Adams is a retired teacher with over forty years of experience, comprising a variety of roles and responsibilities, including Associate Headteacher. Her career includes experience of suburban and inner-city secondary schools, working in a variety of locations in England and overseas, with much of the last twenty years in the West Midlands. Her most recent involvement in a school is as a governor at Pedmore High School from 2017, which included overseeing the transition to the Invictus Education Trust.

She brings with her a wealth of knowledge and expertise of the secondary education sector, having experienced at first hand many of the challenges that schools face and the dramatic changes they have encountered in policy and practice under successive governments.

She holds a 1st Class Hons Degree (Bath) and Master’s Degrees in leadership and social research. She received a doctoral award at the University of Birmingham in 2024, having completed a research study in education. She is a member of several research foundations, attending and presenting at education conferences and takes part in regular online training activities.

Angela is married, lives locally and enjoys a thriving personal life including a keen interest in theatre, literature including sociology and philosophy and she travels extensively throughout the UK and Europe with her husband who is a classic car enthusiast and historic motorsport competitor.
