Uniform Policy Consultation
In November 2021 the Department for Education (DfE) issued statutory guidance to schools outlining the cost considerations schools should have regard for when developing and implementing their uniform policies and managing their uniform supplier arrangements. The purpose of the guidance is to ensure the cost of school uniforms is reasonable and secures best value for money.
In updating the Trust’s policy, careful consideration has been given to a range of factors, such as:
Cost, second hand provision and additional support
How our uniform creates a shared identity and common sense of purpose
What is required practically for classroom lessons or for sport
Our obligations under the Equality Act 2010
Safeguarding and health and safety considerations
The deadline for responding to the consultation is Monday 6 June 2022. Your feedback can be provided by visiting https://forms.wix.com/65f8cf2e-8ec3-4031-aea7-cde3f9dc38f8:f7ce5ab1-e3d8-4ecc-b750-c14b1ed6abc3
