Protect Our Planet Day!

On the 10th November, our Invictus schools gave pupils the excellent opportunity to participate in live talks with industry experts on some of the issues our planet faces. All About STEM organised a series of fantastic live streams from ‘Protecting Our Ice’ to ‘Protecting Our Planet Through Engineering’. Pupils from years 7 to 10 were able to pose questions after listening to the fantastic sustainability projects currently being undertaken. They even got a few shout-outs from some very important scientists on board the Royal Research Ship Sir David Attenborough, along with other scientists stationed in the Arctic. Pupils at Kinver and Crestwood also created posters to raise awareness of the issues discussed in the talks.

Nicky Hayden at Leasowes was tremendously proud of the students selected to participate and commented that ‘their behaviour has been impeccable, the standards of questions they asked and their engagement this morning has truly been inspiring.’
