Dear Year 11 Students, Parents and Carers,
Following yesterday’s (26.11.20) announcement regarding the ‘Tier System’ which will take effect from Wednesday 2nd December we have made the difficult, but necessary, decision to postpone the Sixth Form Open Day scheduled for Saturday 5th December. As I am sure most of you will be aware, the Dudley Borough has been placed in ‘Tier 3 – Very High Alert’ category and as always the safety of our students, staff and communities are at the forefront of everything we do.
We postpone the event on the understanding that we will do all we can to reschedule the event , if safe to do so, later in the academic year. We are extremely passionate and keen to give you the opportunity to meet the subject teachers who really do bring our courses to life and ask any questions you may have. We will let you know as soon as a new date is organised.
As a precaution we began the process of creating a ‘Virtual Open Event’ earlier in the month and I am pleased to announce, thanks to the hard work of our sixth form course teachers and Invictus Sixth Form support staff, we will launch this digital event via the Invictus Sixth Form website at the end of next week. This wonderful digital experience, featuring course guide videos from all of the 40+ course teachers, interviews with current Invictus Sixth Form students and a detailed presentation from the Director of Invictus Sixth Form will be available on our website www.invictussixth.co.uk from Saturday 5th December to coincide with the launch of this years’ Invictus Sixth Form application portal.
If you have ANY questions whatsoever, please do not hesitate to contact our sixth form team by email: rhadlington@invictus.education or telephone: 01384 686 544
