F1 in Schools

15 January 2019

The Formula 1 supported global STEM challenge is an education programme that has established itself as one of the premier competitions. Not only does it offer students an engaging and exciting learning experience, it also gives participants a head start on a career path for Motorsport, Formula 1 and allied engineering industry. The central regional finals will be held at the EEF Technology Training Centre, Birmingham on the 16/1/2019.

Leasowes High School will be entering three teams, including their first all female team. Two teams will be entered into development class and the other into entry class. The students have worked on their projects since September, using every lunch time and the weekly after school sessions. The students are all very excited and hope to qualify for the national final at Silverstone Circuit.
