A Great Night at Kinver School Open Evening

2 October 2019

On Wednesday 2 October  staff and students at Kinver High School welcomed prospective students and their families from the local and wider community to our annual Open Evening event.

Hundreds of year 6 students explored all areas of the school. The evening began with a welcome address from the school’s senior leaders and Invictus Education Trust CEO, Tony Bowles. Our head boy and head girl also gave exceptional speeches and the audience in the packed auditorium were treated to two incredible performances from 3 extremely talented students.

Student leaders acted as tour guides and hosts for the evening with each department packed with students and staff excited to demonstrate what their subject has to offer!

We had some gruesome dissections in the spooky science department along with the odd (CONTROLLED) explosion and a teacher being set on fire! An interactive tour of the PE curriculum and an international cafe in the MFL department were among other highlights. All departments looked wonderful and were truly brought to life by our students and the activities our teachers and staff organised.

We would like to thank all those that attended and to the students that acted as exemplary hosts and tour guides, the final thank you must go to the wonderful team of staff that go above and beyond to create such a fantastic event!
