Year 8 Rugby Success

Over the past three weeks Kinver High School’s Year 8 rugby team have been playing the final games in the Dudley Schools’ Rugby Competition.

Over the course of the six rugby tournaments played throughout the school year, the team have ended the season with a record of played 25 games, of which they have won 17, drawn 3 and lost 5. This is a great achievement and as a result, the team finished Runners-up overall for the season.

The final tournament was played on Tuesday 12th March at Stourbridge Rugby Club in challenging conditions. The players were Isaac Jones, Sam Davies, Rhys Jones, Harrison Johnson, Harvey Parsons (Back Row) Tommy Grainger, Xandre Escudeiro Fraga, Adam Harris and Jack Noble (Front Row).

PE teacher, Mr Parry, said: “Our students have shown a fantastic level of commitment and team spirit throughout the fixtures and have been a credit to the school.

“Congratulations to all of the Year 8 boys who represented the team so well this season.”

Their levels of effort, sportsmanship and team work have been excellent. Well done!
